Configuring Folder Access Data Source Properties

The Folder Access data source gathers information about each folder path entered in the data source properties. A folder path may contain a wildcard or be an individual folder path and name. A data package is created for each folder path in the data source. The folder can be local or remote to the Collector, and will use Windows impersonation if credentials are entered on the connection tab of the data source.

Data Package

The data package is matched to the Folder Access Wizard /Test through the following:

• Server name
• Folder Path and Name
• Subdirectories option
• Wildcards are used

Sample Data Packet file name:

DataPackage.FolderAccess_<server name>_<folderpath>_<subdir_option>_<wildcard_option>.Xml

Properties

IncludeSubDirs. Include sub-folders. A value of 0 indicates no, a value of 1 indicates yes.

Path1…N. One or more folder paths.
